this was my *first* time experimenting with sun flare--the delicious honey-colored hue that elegantly drapes photos. i've got a bit of work to do on my method...but alyse couldn't have been a better subject.

...and since she is so gorgeous operator's error (i.e., mine) goes unnoticed...

i had a dream (literally) about wheat field & balloons. alyse was willing to be a guinea pig (& strut her stuff)...so we drove out to the country, flagged down a combine driver & asked if we could shoot some frames in the nearby wheat field.



and then my dream came to life.

pretty cool when that happens.

this couple was ADORABLE. wayyyy back in april we met up at the medical school (where they met!)...& i happily snapped away as they just loved each other. engaged couples are my favorite to shoot--no direction from me & they certainly don't hestitate to show affection :)

they'll have a rocktastic wedding next spring--CONGRATS!!
